PASTOR'S NOTES

"Who You Are in Christ"

Pastor George -- September 13, 2009

We are here to build you up; to equip you and raise you up as teachers.
The one world government is beginning and we need to be built up so that we will be able to walk in faith and to speak the Word of God.  To speak it we need to know it.

Be prepared for hard times.  We are near the end times.  We needs to know, to stand and to speak the Word of God.

Think highly of the Lord in you.  He will lead, guide and direct you to be equipped to minister in these hard times.  You will have to step up to the plate and minister.  We may be small in number, but not in power.  Wherever you are you can minister.

We need to know who we are.  You don't have to go to the pastor to get the best advise.  The best advise is in the Word of God.  You are not alone.  You have the Holy Spirit.

God can use you whether you are young or old.  There is no retirement in the Lord.  Do what God wants you to do.  Complete the calling.  Prepare, practice, pray and preach what God wants.  Step out in faith.  Choose to do what God wants you to do.

Romans 11:29

God's gifts are irrevocable.  You have dreams and visions and gifts that God has given you.  He does not take that back.

Numbers 22:28-29

If God can use a donkey, He can use us.  Point people to Jesus Christ, not yourself.

1 Corinthians 1:26-30

God chooses the foolish, the weak, the lowly, and despised to nullify the might, the strong, the wise, the loved of this world so that NO ONE may boast.

Jeremiah 11:5-8

God has a plan for us from before you were born, just like Jeremiah.  We have been called and sanctified.

2 Timothy 1:9

We have been called with a holy calling according to God's purposes.  HE IS IN CHARGE.  Yield to His plan.  Don't fight against the bricks (like Paul).  We are valuable.  God has a destiny for you.

"Don't Be Offended"

Pastor George -- August 30, 2009

Proverbs 18:19

Don't take up someone else's offense.  Offenses will come.  Let Jesus handle them.  It doesn't do any good to get upset.  Getting upset leads to resentment, anger, hate and eventually sicknesses.  Learn how to handle being abased and abounding like Paul.

A friend is harder to win back once offended.  An argument can separate friends.  Use the right words.  They bring satisfaction.  A real friend is closer than a brother.

cont'd "Living the Victorious Life"

Pastor George - August 23, 2009

Know the Word of God and speak it.  You can have prosperity in every area of your life; in spirit, soul and body.
Money doesn't determine who we are.
God says be imitators of me; "Be ye holy even as I am holy."  Be who God wants you to be, with or without money.
The New Jerusalem is our destiny.  Remember God is in charge.  Believe, walk and be led of the Holy Spirit.  He keeps us from slavery to legalism.  He provides discipline and direction.
It is the empowering of the Holy Spirit that gives us the victory.  Develop the fruit of the spirit and win against the work of satan.

Galatians 5:16, 25; Acts 8:29

Live controlled by the Holy Spirit, not by the flesh.

Acts 13:2; 16:6

The Holy Spirit can direct you.

Acts 15:7-9

The Holy Spirit unites us all and liberates us from the law and legalism.

"Sealing"

Pastor George - August 16, 2009

God seals the believers with the Holy Spirit.  This is a statement of ownership and a guarantee of our final redemption.

2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13,14

Sealing is a sign of ownership; a deposit of what is to come.

Ephesians 4:30

We are not to grieve the Holy Spirit who has sealed us.

Romans 8:16

It is the Holy Spirit who assures us that we are the children of God.

cont'd "Living the Victorious Life"

Pastor George - August 9, 2009

BAPTISM

Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16

John baptized with water.  Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire.

1 Corinthians 12:13

By baptism we are all united in the Holy Spirit-no matter who we are or what our history was.

"Living the Victorious Life"

Pastor George - August 2, 2009

The Holy Spirit lives and dwells in us.  We are the work of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:3-8

Regeneration - we are renewed in the spirit.  We are first born of water.  Then when we believe on Jesus we are reborn and our spirit is regenerated.

John 14:17

The Holy Spirit comes to live in the believer.  This is the indwelling of the the Holy Spirit.  We must be sensitive to Him.

"How To Live a Victorious Life"

Pastor George - July 19, 2009

1 John 2:12-14

Being victorious is a process.

Hebrews 5:12-13

Young Christians need milk.  They can't take the meat.  Mature Christians need the meat, not the milk anymore.

Acts 2:1-8

When we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the evidence is speaking in tongues.  We speak in heavenly language to God and build ourselves up.

1 Corinthians 14:1-33

This is the gift of tongues, spoken to the church.  It must be interpreted so that the church body can understand.  It builds up the church body.

Prophesy is speaking in behalf of God in a known tongue.

"Our Words Should Be Positive"

Pastor George - July 12, 2009

Matthew 12:33-37

When we have a "good" heart, that is what we will speak.  What you put in your heat, that is what you will speak.

James 1:21, Ezekiel 36:24

Do the right thing.  Be doers of the Word.  Read the Word and put the right things in your heart.

"New Beginnings"

Pastor George - July 5, 2009

We are all chosen of God.  We all sin and come short of His glory; His standard.  But He strengthens us and empowers us by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:1

We can't keep the law.  Jesus came to free us from the law.  He paid the price for our sin.  And we are free NOT to sin.

If we live by the flesh it will result in death.  If we live by the spirit it results in life.

John 10:10

The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life abundant.

Revelation 21

This is our destination.

"Speak Blessings"

Pastor George - January 11, 2009

Don't put your trust and thoughts on money.  Billionaires kill themselves.  Money doesn't bring happiness.  The economy may fail.  We can't depend on it.  God is our provider.  He will care for us.

Suicide is not an answer.  Things will change.  God is our provider.  Man is a survivor.  If this crisis is tough what will happen when the Tribulation comes or when things really get tough.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Don't have negative thoughts and words.  We should be positive.  Watch what you speak.  Thoughts become words.  They have power.  In the beginning, God spoke.  The forefathers in Genesis knew about the power of words.  They spoke blessings to their children.

Don't store your thoughts, hope and trust in the physical, but in the Lord and what He has for us.  Concentrate on speaking the Word of God.

Proverbs 13:13-14

We are satisfied by the fruit of our mouth.  Are you believing and speaking good things.  Our wants sometimes are not good for us.  But God will give us what we need when we need it.  We don't know God's timing and plan for us.

Matthew 12:35-37

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mought speaks.  With our words we are justified or condemned.  What we believe is what we will receive.

Genesis 9:25-27, Genesis 28:1-5, Genesis 27:24-29, Genesis 48:15, James 3:1-12, Numbers 6:22

We are a blest people.  Be full.  Have your needs met.  Have plenty.

"How to Prosper"

Pastor George - December 28, 2008

Matthew 6:28

Money is to be used as a tool.  In olden times people used to barter for what they needed.  Today, we need to have money to live.

We have needs, but worry doesn't change the problem.  We need to keep our priorities straight and work.  Hear from God on how you are to work.

Malachi 3:6-9

God doesn't change.  Don't rob God of the tithe and offerings.  Don't use what belongs to God for your own personal use.  Don't bring a curse on your finances.

Genesis 14:20

Abraham gave tithes before the law.

Genesis 28:20-22

Jacob vowed to tithe.  Abraham and Jacob tithed before the law was instituted.

I Corinthians 9:1-14

Some of the apostles were living from preaching, but Paul wasn't.  He worked.

Galatians 6:6

A teacher is to be supplied by his teaching.

Hebrews 7:1

The Levitical Law demanded that the priests receive the tithe.

Philippians 4:13-19

Only the Philippians gave to Paul.  And Paul prayed that God would liberally supply their every need.

Malachi 3:10

God challenges us to prove Him.  He will bless us so much we won't be able to contain it.  He tells us to bring the tithes to the storehouse which is the church.  Not paying the tithe will keep you from receiving.

"As Many As Receive Him..."

Pastor George, November 9, 2008

John 1:1-12

We are children of God and have rights as His children.  We have a heavenly Father.

We are saved, believers, His church.  We have been adopted by God's will and by faith have received Him.  Keep your eyes on Jesus when going through bad times.

We're not born of flesh and blood, but we are born of God.

Romans 8:29

God knows the end from the beginning.  He knew us before time.  We are to be like Jesus.  He has called each one of us to be formed into Jesus' image.  We are being changed.

Romans 8:35-36

Nothing, circumstances and no one can separate us from the love of Christ.  He is even now interceeding for us at the right hand of the Father.

1 Peter 2:9

We are a chosen people, called out of darkness.  He's put a call on you and is even now preparing you for eternal life.  This is His plan for us.  Do what God wants you to do.  You belong to Him.

"Don't Worry"

Pastor George, September 28, 2008

Keep your eyes on God.  He is on our side.  He is our provider.  If God is for me who can be against me.  We're His kids.

In the natural, we as parents are for our children.  God is a better parent than anyone of us.  He watche for us.  And He made a way for us.

God's plan is promotion.  If you're a worrier, that's an attitude of the heart.  God told Moses, "What is in your hand?"  Like Moses, God blesses what you use.

Picture your goals so the devil can't steal your dreams.  God is a rock.  We change, but God never changes.  He is the same, yesterday, today and forever.  God is provider and a rock.  He doesn't change.

The definition of worry in Websters likens it to being strangeld, overwhelmed, mentally distressed, anxious and threatened.  Worry robs us of sleep and brings on depression and oppression.

Matthew 6: 25-34

You can't be in faith and worry.  Seek God first.  Worry does not help you.  It cannot change your circumstances.  It cannot make things better.

Concern can move you into action, but worry can paralyze you.  If you don't know what to do, DO NOTHING. FOLLOW PEACE.  Worry and fear are the opposite of faith.  God is just and honors faith.  He says we can have what He says we can have.  God has a plan.  Have faith for your loved ones.  Believe for daily bread.  He knows our needs.  Turn to God first and fill your mind and heart with Him.  Serve and obey Him.  Focus on God.  Whatever we focus on will be magnified.  Magnify God.

If you focus on the problems, they will become bigger and will paralyze you.

Psalm 37:23-29, Phillippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:7

Cast all on God.

Isiah 54:17

No weapon formed against us can prosper.

John 14:27, Is 26:3

Keep perfect peace

"Forgiveness"

Pastor George, September 7, 2008

We must forgive in order to be forgiven.  Circumstances happen to all of us.

Matthew 6:14

If you forgive others, you will be forgiven.

Mark 11:25

Forgive others and be forgiven before you go to God in prayer.  Respond to others with love.  When resentment is built, you get irritated and get argumentative.  It is a progressive process.  First we react to the offense and we want to retaliate.  This is the worldly way of responding.  Your upbringing may influence the way you react to offenses and to wrongs.  But we need to react how the Word tells us to react.

All we deserve is death, but for Jesus.  Don't allow pride and an attitude of what you think you deserve keep you from walking in love and obeying the Word of God.  In the natural, you may not want to forgive, but WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?  Take "self" (your own selfish desires and wants) out of the equation.  Walk in love.

Luke 11:24

Jesus put forgiveness in the Lord's Prayer:  "...forgive us as we forgive others..."  Hatred and resentment causes illnesses.

Luke 6:37

God's Word mentions forgiving others in several places.

2 Corinthians 2:5

Don't hold resentment and your brethren afar too long or satan may come and find an open door.  Your love will turn them to Christ.

We need to walk in love.  Jesus said, "Forgive them..." when He was hanging on the cross.  He had a reason to hold resentment and hatred, but He didn't.  When it gets too hard, give it to Jesus.  He knows how to forgive.

"Anointing & Power"

Pastor George, August 24, 2008

1 Thessalonians 1:4

God has selected us.  There's power in His Word.  God's given us His power.  We have the power of God in us.  We don't have to be afraid of the devil.  The devil comes to "steal, kill and destroy," but God have given us power over the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).  Be aware of his tactics.  You are vunerable when you're out of God's Will.  You may get afraid in the circumstances.  When we know we're in the wrong, we can't be confident in the Word of God.  But God's promises are "yea and amen."  They are for us and not against us.  We have God's promises that will not fail.  Know who you are in Christ.

Luke 5:17

We are overcomers.  We are overcomers over sin.  We have the believer's anointing and God's power dwells in us.  Demons and devils may come against you, but you are an overcomer.

Act 1:8

We are victorious because we have the Holy Spirit, that same Spirit that came on Pentecost.  He will give us power to witness and to be a witness.  When we sow to sin we will reap death.  We have to will to obey God.  We have the power to overcome sin, to witness and be a witness.

John 7:37

Know that the Word of God flows out of us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17

God has sent the Holy Spirit to us.  He dwells in us.  We are walking around with the Holy Spirit in us.  There should be a spring of living water (the Word) flowing out of us, for we are His witnesses.

"Salt"

Pastor George, July 27, 2008

Distractions of the enemy keep us from serving the Lord.  When we have doubts, we loose our faith.  We need to get our thoughts and minds on Jesus.  We have to do the best we can and then trust God.

Keep the flavor of "salt."  Salt is used to flavor our food.  Spiritually it flavors our lives and thoughts.  When food looses its flavor, it starts to stink.  The same thing happens with us spiritually.  When we get thoughts that are not in line with God's Word, we loose the "salt" in our lives, the flavor of Jesus in our lives, and those thoughts start to stink and make our lives stink.  When we loose the flavor, we're like a warm drink.

Matthew 5:13

We are the salt of the earth.  We are to flavor the earth, by living in the Spirit, setting a right example and being righteous in this earth.  Our lives are not our own.  We do no own ourselves.  Others watch us.  We need to die to self (our own wants) and set an example.

Mark 9:43-49

Everyone is to be salted with fire.  We are to live a godly life and do things God's way.

Matthew 13:18

In the parable of the sower, the Word of God is the seed.  That Word of God that we receive can be stolen by the devil if we allow it to fall by the wayside.  If the Word of God doesn't take root, when troubles come we will fall away.  If we allow the cares of this world, the pleasure, delight and deceitfulness of riches to take precedence over the Word of God, we will see no fruit; the Word of God will be useless in our lives.  The Word of God must be received in a good heart.  We must grasp it and understand it.  Then it will be fruitful and useful in our lives; touching our hearts and changing our lives.

Make the necessary changes to plant the Word of God in your heart.  Do what the Word of God says to do.  Give out to receive.

"Citizenship"

Pastor George, July 13, 2008

Luke 23:43

Jesus went to Paradise first to led the captives free.  The thief on the cross went to Paradise.  All this was before Jesus was glorified and risen.  the righteous went to Paradise.

Ephesians 4:8

Jesus led captivity free.  He descended then ascended.

John 14:1-6

Now, after Jesus has been risen and glorified, we go where Jesus is.  He said that in His Father's house there were mansions (rooms); a place for us.

When we receive Jesus, we receive a new DNA.  Even facial contenance will change.  When Jesus returns, Jesus will be in the New Jerusalem, which is 100 sq. miles.  Believers will be with Him on earth working with Him.

I Corinthians 15:35

Our bodies will be changed.  They will be glorified bodies.  This body on earth is a natural physical body.  When Jesus comes, we will have supernatural glorified bodies.

I John 3: 2

We will be just as Jesus is.

Luke 24:31

When Jesus walked with the disciples after He was risen and glorified, they didn't recognize Him at first because of His glorified body.  But then their eyes (spiritual eyes) were opened and they recognized Him.

1 Corinthians 15:44

Our bodies will be raised as spiritual supernatural bodies when our physical natural bodies die.

Revelation 21

Our bodies will be able to live in the New Jerusalem and live with Jesus.

"Freedom From Sin"

Pastor George, July 6, 2008

"Homosexuality"

Pastor George, June 22,2008

Genesis

God made man.  It says it the Bible that God said it was not good for man to be alone.  It is not natural.  It's not the way God made man.  So He made a woman for him.  God made the man and woman to be together; not man and man nor woman and woman.

Leviticus 18:22-25

God calls homosexuality a perversion.  It was such a bad offense that in the Old Testament, homosexuals were put to death because it defiled the land.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Romans 8: 21

Paul cites that God has left them to continue their sin because they refused to praise and thank God.
They will not have a share in God's kingdom.

A word to any homosexual:  There is forgiveness in Jesus.  If there is true repentance (turning completely away from sin) God will forgive and make you a new creation.

"Honor Your Father"

Pastor George, June 8, 2008

Pastor said that he'd received a word from the Lord which said that God was not happy with America.  Our earthly fathers have good and bad aspects in their lives.  But God is interested in fathers.  He wants godly men.  Earthly fathers may not be setting  a right example.

The fathers' sins are passed down to the 3rd & 4th generation.

Genesis 2:23

A man is to leave his mother and father and join his wife and become one with her.  He is to put his wife even above his parents.

Psalm 15:18

God commands men to bless and rejoice with your wife, not someone else's.

Ephesians 5:25

The Bible commands men to love their wives like Christ loves the Church.  Jesus loves the Church so much He laid down His life.

1 Peter 3:7

Men are to live with their wives with understanding so their prayers will not be hindered.

Deuteronomy 6:1-7

As fathers, men are to fear the Lord and teach their sons and grandsons that it may prolong their days and that it may go well with them.  Teach them to love God and walk in the Spirit.  Fathers are to teach their children morning and night and even write the Laws of God on the door posts so that they can observe or do them.  By doing them in the presence of their children, it serves as an example.

Take time with and for the Lord.  Make time with your children to speak about God.  Even though the details of "today" draw you away from God, train your children to depart.  Set an example.  And even though they may draw away from the Lord, we have the promise that they'll return to God.

2 Corinthians 12:14

Parents are to supply for the needs of the children.

Ephesians 6:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:11

Parents are to nurture their children.

"Likemindedness" - Philippians 2:2-11

Pastor George, May 4, 2008

Philippians 2:2-11

We are to be "likeminded."  We are to have the same love of Jesus.  We are to think like Him and think the same thing.

As evangelicals we have the same foundation.  We all believe that Jesus is the Son of God who was made flesh, was born of a virgin, died on the cross and was resurrected on the 3rd day.

vs.3-4

We are to esteem others greater than we esteem ourselves.  This is the Royal Commandment.  We are to love God with all our being and love our neighbor like ourselves.  Don't do anything selfishly and for your own interests.  Have the mind of Christ.

vs. 5

Have the same attitude, purpose and mind of Jesus Christ.  Ask yourself, 'What would Jesus do?'
God will complete the work He's begun in you.

Romans 12:1-2

Renew your mind.  Have your mind transformed and renew and change your life.  We do this by knowing the Word of God.  We can know God's good, acceptable and perfect will.

"Tongues - 1 Corinthians 14"

Pastor George, April 20, 2008

Mark 16:15
Believers are to speak in tongues as a sign.

1 Corinthians 14:1
God wants us to desire spiritual gifts, especially to prophesy.

verse 2
We can have tongues as a prayer language and pray to God.  This is private prayer between you and God.

verse 3
Prophecy is for the church and public.  It is for others; to encourage, console, upbuild, confirm and is constructive in the spiritual progress of another.

verse 4
Tongues edifies and improves oneself.  Prophesy edifies and improves the church.

verse 5
Prophesy is God inspired.  It may be in tongues, but it MUST be interpreted so that everyone understands what is being said or it is of no benefit to anyone.

verse 6-13
If you have the gift of tongues for the church, you should also pray that you may interpret.  If you speak in tongues to the church and there is no interpreter, interpret yourself or keep quiet.

verse 14-17
If there is no interpretation of tongues in the prophesy then it is not profitable to anyone in the church.  It helps no one.

verse 18
Paul spoke in tongues more than anyone.  In public he would have rather said 5 words that were understood than not have his tongues interpreted..

verse 22
Tongues are a sign to the unbeliever.  Prophesy is for the believer.

verse 23
If there is speaking in tongues with no interpretation, visitors will think we are crazy.

verse 24
If there is prophesy or tongues with interpretation, visitors will be convicted and convinced and worship God.

verse 27
Tongues or prophesy should be limited to 2 or 3 and must be interpreted.  If there is no one to interpret, just pray to God quietly.

verse 31-32
Sometimes you must wait to prohesy.  Wait your turn or wait for the right time.  Sometimes the prophesy or tongues if for the moment or for another time; the right time.  Sometimes we must discern if the message if for us only or for the congregation.  God is not the author of confusion.

1 Corinthians 12
There are different spiritual gifts all given by the same Holy Spirit.  There is one Lord and that is Jesus Christ.  It is the same God who gives us spiritual gifts.

The manifestation of spiritual gifts will profit all.  It is the same Holy Spirit who works in all the gifts AS HE WILL!  ...AS GOD WILLS - NOT MAN!

We would rather not have any manifestation if it is man-made and phony.  We want God working and manifesting Himself by the Holy Spirit.

"Ephesians 5:22..."

Pastor George, March 30, 2008

Ephesians 5:22

Wives are to submit to husbands as a service to the Lord.  Just as we submit to Jesus, wives submit to husbands.

Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the Church.  He is to sanctify her with the washing of the Word of God.

When two marry, they become one.

Matthew 5:31-32

Divorce is permissible only in cases of adultery.

1 Corinthians 7:10

The wife is not to separate herself from her husband.  If she does, she is to remain single.  And the husband is not to divorce his wife.

Genesis 3:16

The women's desire and craving is for the husband.  But he is to rule over her.

"Ephesians 5"

Pastor George, March 16, 2008

Ephesians 5:1-5

Be imitators of God, not of others.  Renew your mind daily.  Walk in love

It is not proper for a believer to live in sexual immorality.  Don't be wasteful and greedy.

Give thanks instead.  Don't let filthiness, foolish talk, sinful talk and coarse jesting  be a part of you.  It is not becoming or fitting for a child of God.

No person who is an idolator, will have an inheritance in the Kingdom of Chirst.

Ephesians 5:6-18

These sins mentioned are practiced by the sons of rebellion.  Find out what is acceptable and pleasing to the Lord.

Understanding comes from the Word of God.

Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

"Ephesians 4"

Pastor George, February 2, 2008

Ephesians 4:1-6

God has called us out of darkness.  This calling is irrevocable.  Our job is to determine what our calling is.  We are to walk worthy of that calling.

Decide to walk holy.  We've got a high calling to serve Him.

There is one body; the church.  There is one Spirit; the Holy Spirit.  There is one hope; Jesus Christ.  There is one faith; the Gospel and there is one baptism; the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Gifts have been given to men; pastors, apostles, teachers, evangelists and prophets.  These gifts are men given to the church to perfect us; to prepare us to do the work of the ministry.

Our job is to minister to people, to have compassion, operate in love and move in love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-8

We have to know the Word of God in order to walk in His calling for us.  We need to walk in love and show compassion.  Don't be judgemental.  God chose to love us.  We have to choose to love others.

"Ephesians"

Pastor George -- January 13, 2008

EPHESIANS 1:1-12

We are blessed, chosen, predestined, redeemed and given an inheritance.  We have been rescued from death.  Jesus loves us, saved us, made us to sit with Him in heavenly places.

God has blessed us in the unseen realm, the invisible realm where battles between the angels and demons occur.  We cannot see this.  We have angels assigned to us to bless and protect us in this invisible realm.

We're living in this world, but we're not of this world.  We are spirit beings and our citizenship is in heavenly places, in the Kingdom of God, heaven.

We are saints, bought with a price.  Don't let your mind dwell on earthly things.  This is hard to do 'cause things have to be taken care of .  But place your mind on God.  Blessings will pour out.  Heavenly things are eternal.  Earthly things are temporal.

MATTHEW 6:25

Keep a treasury in heaven.

I PETER 3:9

We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and we are to proclaim His praises, our royal relation.

He chose us.  Jesus is the vine, we are the branches.  We are to be holy even as He is holy.  He adopted us according to His Will.  We are accepted since before the foundation of the world.

We are predestined, chosen and called by God.  We are God's special people, holy, set apart for Him; sacred, pure and blameless.  We are to be imitators of Christ.  We have Him as an example.

We have redemption through His blood.  We are forgiven of our sin.  His blood brings us into His presence.  We needed a Savior.  He did this for us.

We know His will.  We have an inheritance that cannot be taken away.

"Give Thanks"

Pastor George -- November 18, 2007

We are to give thanks for all His provision; for our families, homes and blessings.  Take time to be thankful.  Don't just ask, ask, ask for things, but thank God.  There is always something for which to give thanks, and for which to be thankful.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:15

The Bible says that we are to give thanks in everything; the good, the bad and the ugly.  He will work on your behalf in every situation.

ROMANS 8:28

All things work together for good for those who love God.  No matter what happens, God is going to work on your behalf.  He will cause things to work for your good.

ROMANS 8:27

The Holy Spirit interceeds in behalf of all the saints; all saved believers.

ROMANS 8:31

If God is for us, who can be against us.  No matter what's happening or coming against you, NOTHING can separate us from His love.  God will bring you through whatever.  If it is your sin that's caused a problem in your life, you may have to suffer the consequences of that sin, but God will bring you through.

God will do everything for your good.  No matter what happens.  God will bring you through.

JAMES 1:17

Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of Light.

Give thanks to the Holy Spirit.  Do what God wants you to do.  Walk according to His purposes.

If you are not paying your thithe, it is the devil who can steal from you and take your money, one way or another.

"Prayer"

Pastor George -- November 11, 2007

MATTHEW 6:9

Place your eyes on Jesus.  Talk to God and be in an attitude of prayer.  God knows what you need.  Pray in this manner He said....Pray to the Father and ask in the name of Jesus.  In previous times, God has honored our ignorance.  But now that we know how to pray, we need to pray correctly.

"Thy Kingdom come."  Do things God's way and totally under God's rules that He has set before us.

"Give us this day our daily bread."  God will supply all your need.  But we must be obedient to His Word.  He said, "Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure and pressed down..."  As we give and support missions we will be blessed financially.  In the book of Malachi, He tells us to prove Him.  God is our partner.  Give God what is due Him; what is His.

"Forgive us our debts."  We need to forgive so that we can be forgiven.  The Bible tells us to forgive 70x70 times.  We must also forgive ourselves.  This may be harder than forgiving others.  Remember there is no condemnation to those of us who are in Christ.  Don't judge others nor yourself.

2 PETER 2:9-10

God rescues us from temptation.  God has given us power to overcome temptation.

Use your faith.  We are heaven bound!

"Hope"

Pastor George -- November 4, 2007

We hope, but faith is what has substance.  If you're hoping, you need to have a plan.  We have a hope for a life prosperous in the Lord.  We have a hope that God will move us forward and higher.

Paul was content.  Some people are discouraged and give up.  But God wants us to keep hope alive and to have a plan.  He has something in store for us.

The Bible says "Hope deferred makes the heart sick." (Proverbs 13:12)  Don't give up your hope and your vision.

Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding."

"Fight the Good Fight"

Pastor George -- October 14, 2007

Run a spiritual race to obtain the eternal prize that is imperishable.  We don't run aimlessly.  Discipline the body so that we can minister be qualified.  What are we doing to get the prize?

We have received power to be a witness, to go to church, to pray.  Don't worry about people and what they may say or what they think.  Go past that and don't worry that people may be judging.

1 Corinthians 5: 9-10

Don't fellowship with Christians who continue in sin.  Sometimes we make mistakes and fall into sin.  But don't fellowship with Christians who never leave their sin and continue in sin.

Philipians 2:16

Hold "forth the Word of Life;" that you "may rejoice in the day of Christ, that " you will not "have run in vain, neither labored in vain."

Hebrews 12:1-2

Again we are admonished to run the race with patience and to look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Galatians 2:2

Paul didn't want to run the race in vain and was cautious about what he did.

1 Peter 1:3-10

By His mercy we have been given an inheritance that will not fade or be corrupted.  Trials come to test our faith, but God's grace, His unmerited favor will help us to overcome sin.

"Repentance"

Pastor George -- October 7, 2007

In the end times, hearts will be getting hardened.  We need to keep our hearts alive in God.  Don't get numbed by what's happening in the world.  We are God's army and we have to do what God wants us to do.  Work to survive, but keep your focus on God.  Read the Word and speak the Word.

2 Corinthians 7:10

Godly sorrow leads to repentance.  Worldly sorrow leads to death.  Repentance means to turn and stop what you're doing wrong.  It means to change your ways and do things God's way.  Some repent and are sorrowful because they got caught.  It is also deadly 'cause they repent only in word.

We need to work on our old nature; our flesh.  God's given us all the power we need to live godly lives and to serve Him.  But we need to repent of our sins.

"You Have a Destiny"

Pastor George -- July 8, 2007

Romans 8:28

We are called according to His purpose.  Not everything that happens to us are good.  But if you're called according to God's purpose, if you love God, no matter what the situation, God will lead you through it.

Remember, that you will go through it and not stay in a bad situation.  God will make us victorious.

Galatians 4:9

God knows us.  This promies is for those called according to His purpose.

Ephesians 1:1-6

God chose us before He even made the world.  He knew us and predestined us to be holy and blameless.  We can choose this or not, but it is what God has destined for us; to be adopted as His own, to do what He want us to do.  God has a destiny and a purpose for you.  We must let God guide us.

1 Kings 13:2

God love you more than you love your own children and grandchildren.  It is hard for us to imagine God's love for us.  Trust in the Lord.

"So You Think Your're in Charge"

Pastor George -- June 24, 2007

The mind runs the whole body.  It's very powerful.

Proverbs 3:5-7

God will make our paths smooth going.  Make Jesus the ruler.  He will direct your steps.  Make a plan and He will lead you.  Realize God is directing your steps for His purposes.

James 4:13-15

We can have plans and goals, but if the Lord wills.

Acts 18:21; 1 Corinthians 4:19; Hebrews 6:3

Paul many times used the phrase "if God is willing, this is what I'll do..."  "...if God permits."  Many things in the Bible are plain about what to do, say and think, but at other times we must be led by the Lord.

We have our plans, but God directs us.  We can choose to go our own way and disregard God, but nothing will be successful if God is not in our plans.

Joseph dreamed he would rule over others.  He was sold into slavery, put in a prison, but he prospered and was successful because it was in God's plan.

We have have a vision or a dream.  God knows what He is doing.  He's in charge of your life.  He has a plan and a purpose in your destiny.  It may not be a straight path.

Philippians 4:6-8

Don't get anxious.  Pray and ask petition in prayer.  Give thanks and follow peace.  Guard your mind.  God is in charge and He will direct your steps and make your way straight and smooth.

"Fathers' Day"

Pastor George -- June 17, 2007

Exodus 20:4

We are who God made us, in the way we look.  We had no choice.  But the Bible says that the iniquity of the fathers will be handed down to the 3rd and 4th generation.

There are traits we inherit and traits that we teach our children.  Some of those are sins 'cause you teach your child how you think, your mindset which is passed on to the children.  These sins can only be broken by the blood of Jesus.  We need to break these generational strongholds.  We need to set an example of behavior and thoughts to our children.

Deuteronomy 19, 26, Leviticus 39-40

Confess our father's iniquity.  Our father's sins are passed on.  But now we have a new father, a perfect and godly father when we received Jesus.  And we have inherited a new image, a new bloodline and a new inheritance.

Exodus 34:5

Our heavenly Father is merciful, gracious, long suffering, slow to anger, aundant in loving kindness and truth, forgiving our iniquity, transgressions and sin.  But He will not clear the guilty, but will visit the iniquity fo the fathers upon children and grandchildre to the 3rd and 4th generation of those who have not received Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Proverbs 1:10-19

Don't get enticed by sin or sinners whether friends or family to gain advantage of anyone or get ill-gotten gains.

Follow our heavenly Father's way and we will prosper.

John 8:42

If God is our Father, then we will love Jesus.  Jesus didn't come of His own accord, but He came from the Father in heaven who sent Him.  Jesus did everything at His command.

verse 44

The devil is the father of liars.  One can't have God as a father and the devil as a father.  If we are not following Jesus and obeying His commandments, then God is not your father.

1 John 3

This is how our heavenly Father in heaven is.  God is a spirit.

1 John 4:1-11

God is good, all knowing and all powerful.

"Discipline"

Pastor George -- June 3, 2007

We need self control; discipline.  When we are in charge, we have responsibilities.

Proverbs 1

To obtain knowledge and wisdom we need discipline, discretion and prudence.  Fools despise knowledge and wisdom.   Knowledge and wisdom is skill in living; living successful, obtaining to arrive and reach the place where God wants us.

With discipline or self-control in our lives we learn to control our tongue to agree with God and not with the devil.  Discipline and self-control help us to to agree with God's Word and not the world.

We are to get wisdom which is skill in living.  We are to obtain it.  We're in a journey, a trip, going forward.  Apply the Word of God to your life; the God kind of life, the life He wants us to have.

Read God's Word.  See what it really says.  Apply the Word.  Read the book of Proverbs (the Book of Wisdom) which shows us how to live and conduct our lives.

Search the Scriptures daily.  We each have the responsibility to make sure that what is taught and preached is correct.  We will stand and answer to God.

James 1:19-24

Be a ready listener, slow to speak, slow to take offense and slow to get angry.  The power of the Word can save you.

Be doers of the Word and be blessed.

Proverbs 10:19

The wise hold their tongue.  Those that are not wise use many words and say the wrong thing.

Proverbs 17:28

Even a fool is thought to be wise until he speaks.

James 3:1-8

The tongue is corrupt and can't be tamed.  The tongue speaks what is inyour heart.  If you have the Word of God in your heart then right things will come out of your mouth.

Guard your tongue.  Put right things in your heart and right things will come out of your tongue.

"Free Will"

Pastor George --

We can choose to go to heaven or hell.  We have free will.  No man can get another into heaven, only Jesus.

Genesis 3:1-7

Eve made a choice.  She was deceived.  We make choices.  We need to be aware of and beware of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life.  These can cause us to sin and/or be deceived.

The devil can make evil look good.  Right can look bad.  Adam knew it was sin to eat the apple.  He chose to sin.  If you sow to the flesh you will reap corruption.  If you sow to the spirit, you reap life everlasting.

Isaiah 14:12

Devils sin.  They say, "I will."  Do what God wants, not what the "I" wants.  Let's put our ouwn wills aside.  Put God first and His kingdom.  Don't get distractd by life.  Do what Jesus did.  Say, "Thy will be done."  Let's do God's will, not "our" own will.

We're the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We're to say, "Thy will be done" as Jesus did.  Seek God and do what He wants us to do

Deuteronomy 30:19

Choose life.

Proverbs 18:21

Speak God's Word.  Let the Holy Spirit rule and reign in your life.  Make the right choices.  Speak life and good things.

"I Can Fly or I Can Crash"

Pastor George -- 4/20/07

Philipians 4:11-13

We can learn how to be abase or how to abound.   We can be content in bad times and good.  Do all that you can to be prosperous, legitimately and honestly.  Serve God and do what God wants you to do.  Learn through the experience of being abase and abounding.

Paul knew how to be content whether he was abase or abounding; in all circumstances.

Verse 13

We CAN do all things through Christ Who strengthens us.  He cose us to tell other the Good News.  We'd rather abound, but there are times when we are abase and we must learn to be content in those times also.

Paul made tents and/or prayer shawls.  He worked and carried out God's work also.

Philipians 4:6-9

Don't fret.  Don't worry.  Don't get anxious, but through prayer and petitions WITH THANKSGIVIING IN EVERYTHING let your needs be known to God.  And then God's peace will overcome your heart and mind in Jesus Christ.

Verse 8

Here is what we are to think on.  Practice what you've learned, what you have received and have heard and seen.  Model your way of living on God's way.  Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:31-35

God is for us.  Why worry?  Who can be against us.  God is the One who justifies us.  No one can condemn us.  Jesus rose from the dead and now interceeds on our behalf.  Nothing can separate us from God's love.  So, there is NOTHING to worry about.  We're heaven bound.

"What's Next?"

Pastor George -- 4/15/07

After the resurrection, what's next?

John 15:16

God chose us to bear fruit.  He saw something is us.  He gave us gifts which are irrevocable which means He won't take them back.  He gave these gifts so that we would develop.  And if we don't develop those gifts, we pay the price.

Your main call is what God wants you to do.  God directs your stelps.  The main things is to do what God wants us to do.  Get involved.  Watch, protect and pray for others.  Get others into the Kingdom.

1 Thess. 2:19

The ones we lead to the Lord are our joy.

Acts 1:8

We are given the power to witness.  Help others.  Be a good samaritan and your brothers' keeper.

John 14:12

Do what Jesus did.  Don't put limits on God.  We hae to believe His Word.  Be led and directed by the Holy Spirit.  Step out.  If you make a mistake, people will forget.  Don't miss the blessings and fail automatically by doing nothing.  If you believe, "I can do all things through Christ..."

We are called into His service.  God wants to use you to build His kingdom.  God for the gusto...God called you to do something.  Do what He is telling you to do, even if no one else believes in you.  God does.

"The Resurrection"

Pastor George -- 4/8/07

Jesus was raised from the dead.  The only thing in the tomb was the shroud.  Even now it emits power liken to the power that creates new planets.

The resurrection was supernatural.  We also will be resurrected supernaturally.  Jesus said it.

There were many 1st witness accounts and historians that recorded that Jesus was seen after His crucifixion.

All the disciples were martyrs. If Jesus didn't arise then we are foolish and so were the apostles for being martyred.  Thomas doubted and Jesus appeared to him.  Thomas saw the holes the nails made in Jesus' hands.

Matthew 27:52

When Jesus arose, tombs were opened and bodies were raised.  (Isaiah 29:18).  And Jesus did many more miracles after His resurrection; more than can be contained in books.

John 14:15-17

We need to be born again.  We need new spirits.  We are spirit, soul and body.  The spirit part of us lives forever.  The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  There is only one way to life and heaven and that is through Jeus.  We are judged already if in Jesus.  Do you want to go to heaven.  Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

"Without Vision the People Perish"

Pastor George -- 3/25/07

Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no revelation or vision, there is no hope and no goals.  People give up and are done for when there is no revelation of God.  People perish.

1 Cor 13

Everything is according as God wills or His purpose.  God is the creator of all.  The revelation we get of God is through His Word and our relationship with Him.  All earthly things will pas away, but what God says will never pass away.  What He has done in our lvies and will do will never pass away.

Where there is no vision, there is lack of enforcement of God's laws 'cause there is no revelation of His Law.  And people will do what they want to do.

Fear God, that is the beginning of wisdom.  God the Almighty has all wisdom, not us.

Judges 17:6

The people did what was right in their own eyes.  That led to trouble.  Do what is right in God's eyes.

I Samuel 2:12

The sons of Eli did what they wanted.  But obedience is better than sacrifice.

God is Jehovah Jirah...our Provider

God is Jehovah Rapha...our Healer.  It is better to walk in health than to need healing.

God is Jehovah Nissi...our Banner

God is Jehovah Shalom ... our Peace

God is Jehovah Raah...our Shepherd

God is Jehovah Tsidkenu...our Righteousness

Gos is Jehovah Shammad...ever Present

God is Jehovah Sabaoth...Lord of hosts

He said "My thoughts ar not your thoughts."  Just know that He does love us.  He brougth salvation to us through Jesus.  We may not understand everything, but He does.

We you do things your own way, you're disobedient and it will lead to trouble.  Know God is God and not us.  Be obedient and you'll be in good shape.

"The Greatest Commandment-Love"

Pastor George -- 3/15/07

Exodus 20 - The Commandments

1.  Nothing comes before God.  God is first.  He is a jealous God.  He is the King and creator.

2.  God's Name is holy.  Not even the Jews said His Name.  Don't even swear.  You can't do or change anything.

3.  We are commanded to go to church and not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.

4.  Honor your parents.  This is the first commandment with a promise.  We are to honor our parents whether they deserve it or not.  That commandment comes with a promise of a long life.

5. Don't kill.

6.  Don't cheat on your spouse.  Don't fornicate.

7.  Don't steal.

8.  Don't lie.  God hates liars.

9.  Don't desire another's spous
